General Nathan Bedford Forrest medal. Designed for the dedication of the monument of General Forrest, south of Nashville Tennessee, on July 11,1998.  General Forrest has been forever captured by this monument, riding upon his horse in the General Forrest Memorial Park.

This medal is designed as a replica of the monument, with crossed sabers suspended by the battle flag, which is silk screened on a white satin ribbon. 

This medal also honors Jack Kershaw, sculptor of the monument, and the Mary Noel Kershaw Foundation.
